This traditional hand-forged katana (sword) designed by us ticks all the boxes. It’s legal to own without a license thanks to its traditional handmade construction and is right at home with any sword collector. It comes with a 72.5cm carbon steel blade that features a wire brushed hamon line with bo-hi (fuller groove) and a continuously curved cutting edge. The edge is live, and can be used to cut meaning this is an accurate, authentic Japanese-style sword!

The sword features a brass coloured blade collar (habaki) that connects the blade to the tsuba (hand guard) and follows onto the tsuka (handle). The full tang of the blade is double-pinned into the handle with bamboo pegs ensuring safe use. The handle is wrapped with faux same ray skin and then overwrapped with fabric in the traditional Japanese style. This is an excellent, low-cost sword suitable for entry-level back garden cutting.
