The origin of these exotic swords is difficult to pinpoint, but most scholars trace them back to the 18th century, with increased prevalence from the 19th century onward1.

The blades of these swords are among the best of any Butterfly Swords on the market. They are differentially hardened with a clearly defined temper line. Weighing 1.8 lbs with a point of balance just over an inch from the handle, they are both fast and forceful.
